Channeling Tom Scheerer

Tom Scheerer rocks my world. I am really channeling his design aesthetic as I look forward to decorating our new home and I want to give you a little taste of his magic.

Lately, I have found myself daydreaming about this outdoor oasis from the recent issue of HB.

It feels laidback, bohemian, inviting, and delicious - maybe it is the purple color? Good design evokes an emotional response and mine is: TAKE ME THERE, now please.

If this were my patio and Tom Scheerer decided to stop by for a summer evening of relaxation, here are a few things I would need.
A few of these placed around for ambiance on those warm summer nights

Some of these growing in the shady part of my garden

This tray
upon which I will arrange some of my favorite cowgirl creamery cheeses and and a loaf (or two) of my favorite baguettes:

Then Tom (as in Scheerer) and I will sip some red wine out of these glasses:
Finally we will call it a night and I will pick up the empty bottles, glasses, and napkins scattered around the porch.

What a fun and lively way to enjoy one's home- and this patio, especially.
Thanks for the daydream, Tom.
